Love this band.
As I’m sure almost all of you know, six years ago today, Andrew received a stem cell transplant from his sister which saved his life. He has been in remission from his leukemia ever since, and we are all very grateful for that. While I know most of you spend the day listening to Everything in Transit (that also turns six, today) or watching Dear Jack in celebration, I would encourage you to also make a donation to the Dear Jack Foundation. The Dear Jack Foundation was founded by Andrew in July of 2006 to raise money for cancer research, with the primary beneficiaries being the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, and the regents of UCLA. The Dear Jack Foundation is something that is very near and dear to Andrew’s heart, and making a donation, even a small one, is an excellent way to honor him on this glorious day.
